Productivity Tip
A new baby on a medical policy, a new partner to replace the one expunged in the previous section and so on... All of these cases can require a new person to be added to an existing contract. You still need to track the new proposal for production and underwriting purposes, and of course the new proposal will have a different start date to the original master policy.

Add another life to a policy - Method 1
1. | This can only be done if the lives have a relationship link and the policy number and carrier are the same in both cases. |
2. | Build the new proposal for the additional life in the normal way - date written (date of the new proposal, not the old) and increase in premium on this proposal. This ensures that you can track the production and commission accordingly. |
3. | Issue the policy in the normal way, so you now have a completely separate stand-alone policy. |
4. | Now in the policy record you have just created, right click anywhere in the screen and chose 'Add to an existing Policy'. |
6. | The new policy is now linked to the primary policy on the other life. |
