Productivity Tip

E-Broker benefit names follow a consistent logical naming convention across all carriers - so if one carrier calls a trauma product 'Living Assurance' and another calls it 'Crisis Cover', E-Broker uses Trauma - Accelerated Comprehensive etc... . It does mean that the user need to think abut what the benefit logically is, as the E-Broker name may not line up with the carrier name. This is most evident around the various income benefits for mortgage and rural etc... We maintain the product and benefit lists, so add new products and benefits as we are advised by carriers.

Proposal Benefits

1.Click in the Drop Down for benefits and select the first benefit. Tip - you can type the first letter of the benefit to speed up the selection, as well as selecting with your mouse.

2.We generally add benefits in the same order that they appear on the carrier quote.
3.The carrier codes can now be selected as soon as you select the benefit - you don't need to press enter to add the benefit line first as you did in Version 4.0. Tip - most of the carrier codes are 1:1 - that is you only have one choice. Some carriers however pass us more info in the downloads, so they have multiple options such as INCINDEM-13, INCINDEM-08 and so on. Simply these are the wait periods for that Indemnity contract.
4.Add the cover/value, premium, term, and spec 1 and spec 2 details as required.

5.Anything which doesn't fit any of the other fields may be added under the comments section on the right hand side.
6.Remember to press 'Enter' after adding values to a line in order that they are saved. Tip - you can see a small pencil shape on the left hand end of the grid line when a value is not saved. Moving up or down in the grid also saves the change.
