Productivity Tip

Ahh the good old days! Days when most people went through at OR and a loading or exclusion was an exception. Not the case today where it seems to be the reverse, with loadings and exclusions the norm. It's important to have these issues at your fingertips when speaking with a client or starting the review process. Good Brownie Points by being proactive and following up on an exclusion or loading and seeing if it can be reviewed. E-Broker makes all of this easy.

Add an Exclusion

1.Exclusions and Loadings belong to a benefit as they are benefit specific
2.Go to the Proposal Benefits Screen and simply double click on the very left of the benefit line in question and the Exclusion screen will open
3.Add the Exclusion or Loading display name, description and review date if appropriate. Here you can see that I have copied in the text from the Offer of Terms into the text expansion under Description. Tip - try and use a consistent convention for naming exclusions as below, as it is then possible to search for exclusions and loadings through the query builder.
4.Add a Review Date if you think that the exclusion may be reviewable.
5.This will create a forward task for the broker to call the client to review.
6.It's also a good idea to add the health issue which is driving the exclusion or loading, to the Member Health Issues.
