Productivity Tip

In Version 5.0, new users need to be set up by us through our security utility. Without this step, they are not able to connect to the system. You can delete an existing user, but this is not recommended.

 

Set up new User

1.In the first instance, please have your Database Administrator or Business Owner email us through a request to add a new User
2.We will then set up the new User through our security module and advise when they are ready to go.
3.The database program may be downloaded and installed for the new User by going to http://202.89.58.71/e-broker and following the prompts to install the Microsoft prerequisites and the actual E-Broker program.
4.Enter the username, initial password, business name and server URL as supplied by us.
5.The system will load
6.The first time the system loads, it creates a new local file for parts of the client information - so it will take a couple of minutes or more depending on the size of your client base.
7.Eventually the system will open at the User's calendar.
8.You now can set up any specific User Permissions as per the previous sections.

Delete existing User

1.This can be done, but is not recommended
2.If a User is deleted, any Tasks or Journals created by that user, are then cast adrift to float around in cyberspace.
3.If an existing user has moved on and tasks need to be redeployed to the new User, then by all means call us and have us move these around at a database level.
4.Once we have disabled an existing user, they then get moved to an 'Archived' status when you are using drop down lists of consultants etc...
